Christmas Dinners

Twelve days of Christmas have brought me Figgy Pudding, Hazelnut-topped-chocolate-dipped-shortbread, Lemon curd cake, Mint crisp wafers, Banana bread, Pecan brownies, Aphrodisiac-passion-fruit moose, Love-baked-biscuits. Dragging home an ugly tree, dressing it with crows and golden bells, dancing the kitchen Charltston in denial of gift shopping duties.

Seasonal Dreams

Several weekend exhibition commitments have lulled me into long, deep, mid-week sleeps. Dreaming remanents preoccupy the waking hours, blanketed moments, afternoon naps and feather down. Maurice-Sendak-induced-fantasies of sleepy children flying through the night air, seeking solace in conversation with woodland animals. By the new year a revised schedule of sleeping pattern will emerge and sleeping through the cold days while working long into the night will no doubt influence my day-dreams.

A chance to catch up

If you're stuck for creative ideas this Christmas, pop along to the East London Design show in Shoreditch Town Hall from Thursday 4th until Sunday 7th December. It showcases many of London's most creative independent designers  and gives you the chance to buy directly from the makers while sipping some festive cheer. I will be showing new work on stand 30 alongside my wonderfully talented sister Alice Eden, whose delectable jewellery appears to  fly off the shelves. Come by and say 'Hi' to me, and bag yourself a treat!
