A Bite of Book Arts!

There are just a couple of places left on my 1 day 'Bite-sized Book Arts Course' at Hot Bed Press this Saturday 23rd July 11am - 5pm.

Indulge in a day of making an artist's book, with the opportunity to explore many appropriate structures to house your ideas. Using countless examples for inspiration, you will cut, fold, stitch, collage and rubber stamp your way to create a unique book of your own.

THE PRINTED BOOK Course Announced

I have joined forces with the wonderfully talented Mandy Tolley to create a brand new course for the Hot Bed Press Summer School. A 4 day course designed to teach the principles of screen printing and book making (a beautiful print and bound marriage). You can book a place here.

The Printed Book (4 days)

Monday 15^th – Thursday 18^th August 10.00am – 4.00pm

Make a screenprinted book edition from start to finish taking inspiration from mark making and sketches through to fully considered layouts. Learn to coat and expose screens, printing these as content and covers then take these into pamphlet stitch and soft back covers. In the second half of the course you will print an edition of 10 concertina books including hard covers in book cloth as well as belly bands.
