As the evenings light lingers the Book Fair season is upon us. An april appointment prompts kitchen table screen printing and an emergency tutorial. The 2nd Bristol Artist's Book Event  (BABE) will be  held at the Anolfini on April 4th & 5th, (I'll be there eating ice cream cones behind an array of  new and not-so-new multiples. Come say 'aye aye').

Wanderlust

Long late high moon city wanderings lead tired feet home to the studio, where hot tea and fresh eyes begin shaping ideas like clay pots. Island life in night & day dreams soothe a hurried speech. New editions await covers, colophons, dedications, dates, to be launched like narrow boats into summer's canal, life rings at the ready.

Tea for two and two for tea

A ginger rogers cake and a five dollar shake, A blustery bicycle ride in shetland knits, new old green heels and a rabbit fur coat wearing evening of Swing baptise me back to the city. I count glue brushes, line up rulers, sharpen pencils, shake down my apron and breathe deep for the workshopping month ahead.
