We had a super day traveling up to Yale in New Haven to present our work to the lovely Curator of Rare Books and Prints at the British Art Collection. We saw and handled some absolute treasures and came away brim full of inspiration. We also rehoused some of our work in the collection, after Elisabeth purchased generously from us.

New York Day of Book Arts
A thrilling Thursday for me spent in the fine company of Gavin at Paper Dragon Books observing the mastery that goes on in their Brooklyn bindery then a rainy scoot across to Manhattan to visit the wondrous Centre for Book Arts. The lift doors open and it's book making H e a v e n.

The BBC keeps me company
A day away from the Manhattan rhythm today. Instead I stayed homebound, slippers on, with the radio for company. I hadn't anticipated quite how much I'd miss BBC radio. This was a cracker of a documentary.
Oh and I did some hooping too.

Animal Crackers
Sunday in Manhattan began with a un-photogenic proud cockerel approach in a community garden in the Lower East side, then on past the poor prancing ponies in Central Park to where we cooed at Chi puppies frolicking on the lawn costing more than $1, and ended with a cat curled pressed against the window of a deli on Nassau. I miss the company of animals it's fair to say.

The Swimmer

When it's cold outside put Burt in his swimsuit on inside. Beautifully shot and particularly refreshing.

Smell
It's easier to jump when you're holding someone's hand.
Unisex restrooms shared with NY's coolest cats, a broken umbrella is the only place to look.
Book fair eye bleed, cabinets of spectacle wearing literary graphic skinny spines.
A stroll across the wind bridge to rain accidental nuit blanche.
Salmonnsteaklobster light and a blanket bound date with the sheets.
